The Team

This role can be based at our HQ in Edinburgh, or remote, based in the UK

Craneware is looking for passionate automation engineers that are excited about working with Big Data technology to drive improvements in the US-based healthcare market. We are growing a team of strong thinkers and innovators that are willing to work closely with product and customer-facing teams to design and develop new applications in the Cloud.

We are expanding our current platform and SaaS product offerings by using cutting edge technology to process very large data sets that will provide actionable insights for our customers. Architecting our solutions with a best of breed approach to technology, both .NET and Java-based platforms are leveraged in order to provide the necessary scale and rapidly bring products to market. Innovative, collaborative, and agile are critical skills that our engineering team members must possess in our environment.

You’ll be working with a small and friendly agile team of talented software and automation engineers to deliver high quality and elegant cloud-based software solutions that have impact on millions of people, leveraging the Azure platform and latest technologies.

Tech Stack: C# (Web API, Azure Functions), Angular, SQL Server, Cosmos DB, Postman, Selenium

You Will Be

  • Working with an agile delivery team to contribute to the design and development of software releases using Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) methodology
  • Designing, maintaining, and executing automated testing of API and Service test data and web products on multiple platforms and devices ensuring consistency and sufficient test coverage
  • Configuring performance, load and stress testing using automated tools, ensuring production of high-quality deliverables that are scalable and perform to expectations
  • Assisting Senior Automation Engineers with management and configuration of the test environment
  • Investigating and resolving software defects to provide timely resolutions
  • Working with product management to provide technical solutions to meet product requirements

You Will Bring

Key Experience

  • C#/.Net or Postman

Preferred Experience

  • Proven track record in designing and building automation solutions
  • Working across several different tools and technologies

Knowledge

  • Developing high quality automation solutions
  • A good understanding of automated testing methods and their application
  • The ability to analyse and solve technical problems
  • Understanding of object-oriented design principles
  • Being able to clearly articulate ideas to a target audience
  • Previous experience of collaborating with other team members within an Agile Delivery team
  • Working knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools (e.g. TFS or Jira)
